All you need to know about Pacas
The town has all you need like hotels in from the ocean, restorants, shopping center, banks and the town is prety big compare to Chicama.
The streets are very small to drive cars but it seem to be normal for Pacasmayo people.
The waves is 15 minutes away from the center of the town and there is not a place to stay infrom of the waves.
The waves is located on the south from the town, the wave can reach 3 meter tall easy and is the second largest in Perú.
The current is very strong and there are boat (sodiac to rent)
The beach is rocky and is not for beginners at all but if you are a good intermediate level you can try on small days.
There is also a rocky area in from of the wave that in hight tide you can not see.
The water is cool so you need wetsuit most of the time except when the Niño current come down.

The History
The history of Pacasmayo, Peru, spans from prehistory to the present day, including the founding of a port by the Spanish, the construction of a pier, and the development of the cement industry. Prehistory The Pacasmayo area has been inhabited by human groups gathering food from the sea for over 10,000 years. The Mochica, Chimú, Cupisnique, and Pacasmayo cultures lived in the present-day territory of Pacasmayo. Colonial Era In 1775, the Spanish founded the port of Pacasmayo. During the War of the Pacific, Chilean troops invaded Pacasmayo and destroyed much of the city. Republican Era In 1825, Simón Bolívar declared Pacasmayo a district. The pier and seawall were built to promote economic development. In 1935, the Pacasmayo Lighthouse was constructed, which guides vessels along the northern coast of Peru.
